2 cups Tad’s Dad’s Chili (vegan)
6 plant-based hot dogs – or
6 hot dog buns (regular or gluten-free)
½ cup shredded vegan cheese (cheddar or nacho-style)
¼ cup diced onions (optional)
¼ cup chopped pickled jalapeños (optional)
1 tablespoon mustard or vegan mayo (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil (for buns, after grilling, optional)
Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish
Preheat your grill (or grill pan) over medium heat.
Grill plant-based hot dogs for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through with char marks.
Lightly brush the inside of the hot dog buns with olive oil, either after or before putting them on the grill.
Place them on the grill for 1–2 minutes, until toasty and golden.
While grilling, warm Tad’s Dad’s Chili in a saucepan over medium heat until hot and bubbly.
Place grilled hot dogs in the toasted buns.
Spoon warm chili generously over each dog.
Sprinkle with vegan cheese, onions, and jalapeños if using.
Drizzle with mustard or vegan mayo for extra flavor.
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
Pair with chips, slaw, or grilled corn for the ultimate BBQ plate!
